Catch-up II

While a lot has happened since "Christmas Treeing"....it has been a slightly uneventful winter.  There has not been much to take pictures of since most days consist of going to work and coming home and resting in the evening.

However...

Most of you have become aware that we are pregnant again!  Here's for Round 2!  At this point we are exactly 9 weeks and 3 days along.  In our last pregnancy the baby made it to about 9 1/2 weeks old...so it is safe to say with this pregnancy we have had our  moments of fear and concern.  But we are both feeling optimistic about this one...and will be excited for our next appointment on March 29th to see that all is going well.  At that point we will have made it 11 weeks and 1 day...almost through the scariest time, the 1st trimester. Keep us in your thoughts!

Baby's first picture.  :)

HIKES

great blue heron...one of my favorites!

 Strange Morning
Trevor and I both woke up one morning and noticed a couch on the ice on the lake across the street.  Weird.  But even more interesting  than the stranded couch on the lake was watching the firemen remove it!  Hmm...or was it the crazy lady in her pajamas across the street taking a picture from her deck?

drinking at the Elk's Club yields many artistic opportunities.  :)

Business Trip!
So when my boss at the bookstore asked me if I wanted to go on an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. for a booksellers conference....I said....uh....yah!  It was fun and a bit overwhelming.  But I also was able to jump a plane to NYC to see one of my favorite peeps, Lulu...and my super dope cousin, Cess.

View of Washington Monument from the Lincoln Memorial.  Awesome.
My friend, Maggie, that I met at the conference.  She owns a bookstore in Ketchikan, Alaska.  We were the only ones representing Alaska!

Food.
Oatmeal molasses bread.  It's our new favorite.  We try to make some every Sunday to get us through the week.  It is deeeliiiciouuus!

whole wheat foccacia!  Also incredible!
Birds Across the Street.

Cabin Weekend.
Our friends, Chris and Mariah, rented the cabin at the end of the road for the weekend.  We joined them for one day and night.

After being so proud of ourselves for taking everything from the car to the cabin in one trip....Trevor realized he forgot the most important thing.

Coming Soon!
1) Whale watching cruise
2) Bear season ;0
