Atticus
This week we had our last ultrasound. Everything looks good! He is about 4.9 pounds in there and is in the 68th percentile overall. He has been moving around like crazy. I love feeling him...and I love seeing my belly grow! How often do I get to say that, eh? As of this last Monday, I am officially 8 months along! 2 more to go...crazy!

Introducing: Stout
Now that we have a place of our own and a place with a fenced back yard...we finally have been able to get the very much anticipated addition to our family. May we introduce you to Stout; named after the delicious, black, creamy beverage that I am not allowed to drink at the moment. I think we both hoped to find a lab at a rescue shelter...but most dogs at the shelters here are pit bulls, huskies, and german shepherds (all dogs that our home insurance doesn't allow us to have). When we saw "Stout" (then Suki) on the website for the city pound, we left 5 minutes later to meet her. We got to play with her and pet her outside of the facility. We decided we were going to think about it for the night, but on our way back into the shelter I saw a family that was viewing another dog....eyeing our Stout. It was Trevor that ultimately said..."Let's just do it!" We went home with her that night. :)

After about 2 days of having Stout, we dog sat for our friend, Ryan. It was a fun time :) |
Sitka Wedding
In our short time in Sitka, we were lucky to make a couple of really great friends. We knew when we found out that we were moving to Anchorage...that we would definitely figure out a way to get back down there for their wedding. It was a blast!

Trevor and friends, Jeff and Joe playing the music for the wedding. Also where the drinking began. Oi! |
The day before the wedding, Chris took us out on their new toy! It was nice to view Sitka from a different perspective. |

Trevor and a wee halibut. These were 2 of the 2 fish caught that day. Yay Trevor! |

Rovenna Street.
It has been slow moving...but we are officially done painting, carpeting the upstairs, unpacking, and buying needed furniture! Furnishing Atticus's room is still in the works, however. It can not be said enough how happy we are to be where we are, doing what we are doing. Big moves are always stressful...but the excitement of owning our first home and prepping it for our family in the works has made it a fun process.
I am going to try to post some of these as BEFORE and AFTER pictures.

Mowing our lawn for the first time. Who would have thought how exciting it would be to mow your very own lawn. Not your parent's lawn...YOUR lawn. It was a big moment. :) |
