Last Thursday I left Sitka on the ferry with the car packed up. Trevor and I met in Juneau, where we spent the night, and hopped on the ferry together the next morning for a 2 hour trip up to Haines, Alaska. There we got off with the car and began our road trip to Anchorage. It took about 2 days.
This trip was by far, one of the coolest trips I've been on. The views were spectacular...like nothing I've ever seen. Either of us! This was Trevor's first dip into Canada. Amazing, considering how much time he has spent in Alaska.

We were really excited. :) A little giddy, even.
Trying to act natural...while showing off my baby bump. :)
We did not see one large animal on the whole trip! No bear, no moose, no caribou! ? We did see swans, eagles, and lots of arctic ground squirrels. :)
boreal forest. A first for both of us!
Trevor, Ryan (our friend that we are staying with in Anchorage), Beaner, and Minnie. They were introducing me to a place that I could feel comfortable to go walk by myself in town. Despite the fact that moose frequent the park!
